Work 70(82, 94, 106)ch

Row 1: Skip 3ch (3ch counts as dc here and throughout), 3dc into next ch, skip 2ch, sc into next ch, *skip 2ch, shell into next ch, skip 2ch, sc into next ch; repeat from * to last 3ch, skip 2ch, 4dc in last ch, turn – 10(12, 14, 16) shells

Row 2: 1ch, skip next st, *skip next 3 sts, shell into next sc, skip 3 sts, ** sc into next ch; repeat from * across ending at **, sc into top of turning ch, turn – 11(13, 15, 17) shells

Row 3: 3ch, 3dc into 1st st, skip 3 sts, sc into next ch, *skip 3 sts, ** shell into next sc, skip 3 sts, sc into next ch; repeat from * across ending at **, 4dc into turning ch, turn – 10(12, 14, 16) shells

Rows 4-48(48, 47, 47): Repeat Rows 2 & 3.

Finish off.

Lace Top

Flip piece to work on opposite side of foundation chain.  When working the sc stitches in Row 1 of Lace Top make sure to insert your hook into the bottom of the stitches of the Body’s 1st row as opposed to picking up the unworked side of the foundation chain.

Row 1: Work 15ch, join with sc in corner and work a total of 66(78, 90, 102) sc evenly across, 17ch, turn – 98(110, 122, 134) stitches

Row 2: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *5ch, skip next 3 sts, sc in next st; repeat from * across, turn – 24(27, 30, 33) 5ch spaces

Row 3: 5ch (counts as dc + 2ch), sc in next 5ch space, 8dc in next 5ch space, sc in next 5ch space, *5ch, sc in next 5ch space, 8dc in next 5ch space, sc in next 5ch space; repeat from * across, 2ch, dc in last st, turn – 8(9, 10, 11) shells

Row 4: 1ch, sc in 1st dc, skip next sc, dc in next dc, (picot, dc in next dc) 7 times, *sc in next 5ch space, skip next sc, dc in next dc, (picot, dc in next dc) 7 times; repeat from * across to last 2 sts, skip next sc, sc in last dc, turn – 8(9, 10, 11) shells

Row 5: 8ch (counts as dc + 5ch), skip next 2 picots, sc in next picot, 5ch, skip next picot, sc in next picot, 5ch, skip next 2 picots and next dc, dc in next sc, *5ch, skip next 2 picots, sc in next picot, 5ch, skip next picot, sc in next picot, 5ch, skip next 2 picots and next dc, dc in next sc; repeat from * across, turn – 8(9, 10, 11) shells

Rows 6-13(13, 16, 16): Repeat Rows 3-5, ending with Row 4.

Finish off.

Repeat instructions to make an identical second panel.

Seaming

-Seam shoulders together with whip stitch leaving a 9” neck hole open in the center.

-Seam sides and underarm together with whip stitch.

-Weave in ends.

-Turn garment right side out.
