Round 1: 7ch(counts as dc and 4ch space), (2dc, 4ch) in ring 5 times, dc in ring, sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch, do not turn – 12 dc.

Round 2: (Sl st, sc, hdc, 5dc, hdc, sc, sl st) in each ch space around – 30 dc

Finish off.

Connecting Motifs 

Step 1-First Strip of Flowers: Stitch another motif up to the last petal, (sl st, sc, hdc, 3dc, sl st into a center dc of one petal on the last flower, 2dc, hdc, sc, sl st) in last ch space.  Finish off.  Continue to make and connect flower motifs in this manner, using the 3rd petal from the previously connected petal as the point to join until you have 5(6, 7, 8, 9) flowers in the first strip.

Step 2-Connecting 1st Flower of 2nd Strip: Stitch another motif up to the last 2 petals.  Repeat method of joining for the last 2 petals connecting to the top 2 petals of the first motif of 1st Strip.

Step 3-Connecting 2nd Flower of 2nd Strip: Stitch another motif up to the last 3 petals.  Repeat method of joining for the last 3 petals connecting to the top 2 petals of the next motif of 1st Strip and the closest side petal of the 1st motif of 2nd Strip.  Repeat this method across until your 2nd Strip has 5(6, 7, 8, 9) connected flower motifs.

Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 for consecutive strips until you have 6(6, 6, 7, 7) connected strips creating one piece of fabric.  Complete two pieces of fabric, a front and back side.
