Orientation Headband + Bow

Yarn: approx. 40 yards of worsted weight yarn

Tools and Supplies: 5.0mm crochet hook, tapestry needle, scissors, fabric glue

Skill Level: Beginner

Stitches: (ch)chain, (sc)single crochet, (sl st)slip stitch

Ch.11

Row 1: Sc in 10 chains across. Turn.

Row 2: Ch.1, sc in 10 sc across. Turn

Rows 3-17: Repeat Row 2.

Finish off and weave in ends.

Cut a piece of yarn 20”-24” long. Cinch center of rectangle and wrap yarn around, secure with knot. Tuck knot under wrapped yarn and secure with dot of fabric glue.

To make necklace: Determine which side of bow you would like as front and back. On back side, join with sl st. on surface about 1 centimeter down and 1 centimeter in, ch. 80, and join with sl st. on surface on other side of bow in the same manner as before. Finish off and weave in ends.

To make headband: Determine which side of bow you would like as front and back. Ch. 50-55 depending on size of head, insert end of chain through wrapped yarn portion. Once inserted join with sl st. in first chain to form band. Finish off and weave in ends.
