Crab Stitch Towel

Yarn: approx. 200 yards of worsted weight yarn

Tools: 5.0mm crochet hook , tapestry needle

Skill Level: Easy

Gauge: 5 rows of 6 hdc = 2″x2″

Stitches: (ch)chain, (hdc)half-double crochet

Special Stitches: Crab Stitch (Reverse SC): Work from the left to the right, insert hook in next stitch to the right, complete as sc.

Ch. 32

Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch. from hook, hdc in each ch. across. (30 hdc)

Row 2: Turn, ch.2, hdc in each hdc across. (30 hdc)

Row 3-35: Repeat Row 2.

Edging

Rnd 1: Do not turn, ch.1, crab stitch in each hdc across, turn to work down edge of towel, crab stitch in each of nxt 35 row ends, turn to work down nxt edge, crab stitch in each of the 30 foundation chains, turn to work down nxt edge, crab stitch in nxt 35 row ends, join w/sl st. in 1st crab stitch.  Finish off.  Weave in ends.
