Edging

*Note: The lace is surprisingly VERY easy to work with.  Simply think of each hole in the yarn as a “yarn over” and you will complete the single crochet stitch exactly as you normally would.  It is important to leave a couple of inches of lace unworked in the beginning and end to be tacked up when finished.

Rnd 1:W/B and 5.5mm hook, insert hook into 4th hole on lace (to leave tail), join w/sl st. into 1st. ch.1 space of last row of body, sc in each ch.1 space across, sc in every other row up next side, sc in every foundation chain across top/neck, sc in every other row down last side.  Join w/sl st. through 1st sc.  Finish off leaving a tail.  Use thread and needle to secure tails into a ruffle.

Finish by weaving in ends and sewing on hook an eye closure at front of neck.
